When you're gone - Avril Lavigne

Avril Lavigne When You're Gone Lyrics

first heard this song when i was alone in The States. stirred up quite some emotions in me. i had continuously told and conditioned myself that i can survive alone in USA and its no big deal. but this song totally dispelled all of those positive thoughts i had conjured up. Seriously homesick and feared being all alone in this unfamiliar land. But nvm, i will and can survive. there's always a first for everything! its really no big deal.

Naruwan, Taiwan!

Taipei

台大

lucky me! saw a police raid while shopping in shilin, TWICE!

anru was even better, she caught it on video!

look how orderly taiwanese are, they even que up to board the MRT. will we ever get to see this is singapore?

and the escalator too

GUESS3!!!!!
Jacky Wu was hilarious!!! so random! even tom couldnt stop laughing although he didnt understand mandarin

forced tom to pose with this poster although none of us knew who he was. the ppl at the tv station shoved it into my hands when we got there, so might as well put it to some use.

illegal immigrants! wahaha

love jan and young to bits! they cooked steamboat for me on my last night in taipei!

my fav!! --> sweet no spicy 甜不辣

Taizhong

train to taizhong!
met justin on my way to the train station, feels so good seeing somebody familiar after so long. would have gone out with them for breakfast if i wasnt rushing to catch the train

*Bakku*
which is a really cool restaurant! i like it!

this is seriously quite tasty though it certainly doesnt look like it.

the famous smelly tofu!
but i was quite disappointed, not smelly at all and not as tasty as ppl describe it to be

went clubbing. WOA! all the girls there are so damn HOT! All they wore were super SHORT shorts/miniskirts and really SEXY tops or just BIKINI!!
i instantly felt so out of place when i was there.
p/s. these girls had the most conservative dress code out of the others in the club

went to watch Xing Guang Bang (whoever they are, but apparently they're very popular!) + Won Fu Concert.

The long haired guy in WOn Fu is so funny! totally SanBa! couldnt stop laughing! he kept telling us to just call him Ou Xiang and not to think about anything else. Hilarious! okays, he shall be my new Ou Xiang!!

now i seriously believe that taiwanese LOVES english speakers. christine was telling me to act like i dont know any mandarin and we instantly got alot of discounts!

and i even learned how to ride a motorbike with christine's! super fun!! we were making such a commotion that the ah ma next door also came to teach me! funfunfun! and that ah ma could speak such gd english! we were both so surprised!

went to KTV with christine, her sis, her bf and all her cousins! 9 in total! all of them were so gd and like so serious about singing that i didnt dare to sing. the Party World in Tai Zhong is so glam! and there's like buffet in every ktv! singapore should seriously have that too!

den went for dinner with christine and her family. And a hilarious event took place : the restaurant had a feedback form and we wanted to rate gd services for this particular server but he had no name tags on him thus we resorted to drawing a potrait of him on the feedback form. initially we though that he's the only server with glasses on. so we only drew a guy with glasses on. But then we spotted another bespectacled server too! thus we drew another guy with glasses with a different hairstyle and marked a big cross over his face. it was sooooo hilarious!

feast on my last night in taizhong!! *droolss*

i wanna go back taiwan again!! i miss you, christine!!

New York III

*sigh* left New York and who knows when will i be back here in USA again. Surprisingly, I had a very gd time in New York (even though NY isnt exactly interesting -_-) Auntie lily treated me soooo gd! she fed me so well that i'm an ultra-super-duper-enormously-humongously-gigantic bui bahh now. *AHHHHHH* (although she keeps forcing disgusting veggies down my throat -_-") it feels so much like home and i feel so fortunate that i dont feel like leaving her house..

Well, actually i had the intention of extending my stay in NY since Auntie lily wanted to bring me to chicago for a tour BUT i had to give it a miss (haiiiiiiiiiiiii!) as i decided to not skip school. i am so going to regret this =(

cant believe i stayed in New York for 11 days! didnt feel like it at all. maybe cuz it feels so much like home that i didnt even bother remembering the days. cuz, believe me, i was slacking ard most of the time and it sure feels so gd! Well most of the time its cuz i was too broke to go to any attractions that require me to pay hahha thus central park is like my no. 1 fav attraction! HOHO

look how cui the NY subway is! i cannot emphasize more..*shake head*

ermss, this is supposed to be a very famous landmark of NYC Chinatown. well, i dunno abt it.

Auntie and Uncle brought me to this restaurant to yum cha! so cool! i ate durian pastry! finally!! durian!! felt so gd!

the NYPD car is so cute! couldn't resist not taking its picture while the policeman is right beside me -_-

look what i found!??! feels a little closer to home =

oishii no kebab!! *d e l i c i o u s* with Auntie!

look how cool this is!! see jiefu! your free-food-at-church isnt gd at all! this is so much better! i can disguise myself as a kid somemore.

i basically depend on ppl like him for entertainment everyday on those long 2hr subway rides

*Museum of Natural History*
this museum is HUGE! i spent like 1 whole day there and still i couldnt finish walking thru the whole museum

super cool skeleton!

*Central Park*
it really lives up to its name. really nice and relaxing there.
this is like my fav hang-out place haha

well i guess this is the end of my US adventure =(
