i should really start learning a new language.
while my dad, sis and i were having dinner at Boon Lay Hawker Centre, this indian guy who could speak 6 different languages sat down to join us. What can i say? 6 different languages?! omg! and he definitely didnt look like a person who could speak so many different languages. Dont judge a book with its cover, i guess. I wonder whether he's trying to show off to me his flair for languages. Throughout his short dinner, he made 6 phonecalls to 6 different ppl conversing in a different language each time! My dad and i were looking at each other, trying not to burst out laughing. Luckily we didnt attempt to tease this indian man in mandarin when he first sat down. *phew* Anyways, this guy communicated in tamil, english, mandarin, teochew, cantonese, hokkien!!! (okays..maybe some of them are dialects, not exactly languages. but its a feat!) I bet he could speak many other dialects of tamil too. (i remembered that there's lots of different dialects in india) Maybe he could speak malay too! just that his malay fren wasnt free just now thus he couldnt pick up this indian guy's call.

my dad's 同情心泛滥 (too much sympathy)
he bought a $9.30 small-no-brand-not-appealing-at-all-and-looks-inedible ice cream from these 2 boys who knocked on our door just now. To me, i think the selling price (note: not cost price) at most would be $2 or $3?? (yah, its THAT unappealing!)
well, actually i'm okay with buying from the boys. i just hope they are really working for themselves and not under some gang or secret society or whatever you call it.
p/s. LINKIN PARK in 2 days time!!!!!!! :D
