Backpack Taiwan (Taipei)

Danshui Station
which closely resembles Chinese Garden MRT station, doesnt it?
feels like homeeeeee

the quaint streets of Danshui
on a rainy day

i'm pointing to the famous bakery where you can eat for free til you drop (ok, i meant try the samples as many times as you want)

apparently, they're very confident that ppl who try their samples would definitely buy their products

close-up of the bakery

i really ate til i almost dropped, haha

den we went searching for Ah Po's Tie Dan and we found her!

we chanced upon a fishball shop and decided to go in for some snacks
and immediately fell in love with their amazing fishballs and tantalizing wantons!
they are fabulous!

as you can see, i really love them!

we were so addicted to it that we had 2nd helpings and tried to come up with a zillion ways to pack them home. However, our heads must have been colonized by fishballs and wantons instead of any sightings of our brain.

this is some kind of tau kwa stuffed with tang hoon and meat.

quite an interesting taste, but my whole head was filled with danshui fishballs and wanton addiction

hotsprings by the road!!!!!
cool huh!
we saw a japanese girl walking in them too!
if only i wasnt wearing shoes and jeans, otherwise i would be joined her!

i could only do this..-_-

the public hotsprings that we went.

as you can see, lots and LOTS of aunties, uncles, ah mas, ah pehs, and what have you.

but it was fun!

this place had 6 pools. 3 hot ones and 3 cold ones. the locals there told us that we are supposed to soak in the hot ones den jump into the cold ones for a number of times.

self torture, i would say. but shiok, nevertheless!

night has fallen
didnt realised we had been soaking in the hotsprings for so long.
and its STILL raining! -_-

this definitely aint as nice as the one i ate in fangliao.

and much more expensive too!

ktv at Partyworld!

we got an huge room to ourselves! and sang our throats coarse!

damn fun!

the loveable peeps at Taipei Ximen Backpackers!

love them to bits!

hilarious bunch!

not forgetting to mention the comfy-est blanket! (i came to despise my one at home after a while)

they were acting out my name, if you need to know -_-"

time to leave KaoHsiung and Wang Wang

really need to thank Wang Wang.

If not for him, we probably wont succeed in hitch hiking and wont be able to try out diving.

If not for him, we wont be able to get a free ride to KaoHsiung and tour KaoHsiung express.
