Off To the "Das Experiment : the Black Box" with Mei Mei

Inspired by the infamous Stanford Prison Experiment conducted in 1971.

20 candidates participated in a prison simulation experiment for purpose of studying the psychological effects of being a prisoner or prison guard. Prisoners and Guards rapidly adapted to their roles. The Guards stepped beyond the boundaries of what had been predicted and developed sadistic tendencies while many prisoners were emotionally traumatized due to the inhumane conditions in the prison. This led to dangerous and psychologically damaging situations. Prof Thon decided to perceive the deterioration as standard psychological reactions and refused to end the experiment despite the obvious unethical acts by the Guards and the protests of his assistant, Dr Grimm.

The 14-day Stanford experiment was aborted after 6 days following concerns of the Guards abusing the in-mates and that the latter were undergoing psychological trauma and slipping into depression.

look at our proximity to the set. which i thought was a good initiative. Allows the audience to feel more involved in the play. This play is very much recommended! Extremely intriguing. Gets you wondering about the dangers lurking in darker side of humans. Oh yah! the best part, in my opinion, is when Tarek's hair got shaved off by the Guards! MeiMei and I were caught stunned for a while. We were still discussing whether they were really shaving his hair off. Eventually, we decided that it must be a wig they were shaving cuz its impossible for the troupe to change a long haired Tarek every performance just for this scene. But the shaving scene was very well executed. *claps* The gun firing was also pretty good! Though the ending was quite abrupt.

Although the venue provider can certainly improve on uber hard and uncomfortable seats as well as their air conditioning system. It felt as if the air conditioner broke down! Oh well..after a while, i grew numb to my surroundings as I was so caught up in the play. So, maybe its all not too bad at all. Should catch it if you've got the chance.

I give it..3.5/5 popcorns! (0.5 popcorns deducted due to the uncomfortable seats and the lack of aircon)

yes we were soooooo starved that we settled for 2-bite-brownie for dinner. After 1hr 30min of growling stomaches and dehydrated throats, we practically rushed out of the set during the intermission to get our hands on any food/drink we can find! Thank god for 7/11!!!!

Notice the clause "Free Seating"? This becomes extremely crucial when one is rushing for time and the cui GPS refuses to cooperate!

and so..we spent a good while camwhoring outside the SubStation before finally making our way to Timbre for more action!

HAHAHHA! i forced meimei to order this gross cough-syrup-like drink.

trying to pass time while waiting for Shirlyn & the Unxpected to miraculously appear! Well, they were great, usual. but I dont really fancy Timbre if I were to compare to Wala. The venue is too big and sparse. No high factor. And most importantly, i'm sooooooooooo far away from uncle rene!!! HAHAH =X

To make up for it, we started rocking in MeiMei's car on the way home. Thanks to my zenstone and MeiMei's fabulicious stereos!

The Saw Fanatics

Finally got to meet up with the brothers. Been a long time since both got too preoccupied with their gfs. Here we are, at our fav past time, watching SAW V. However and quite apparently, we are the only sole survivors. and....SAW is never gonna end!!!! I can totally imagine us watching SAW 100 with our little toddlers! wahhaha!

we managed to psycho/drag jiefuu to Coffee Club even though we were heavily weighed down by our dinner. And at this very place again..we celebrated his bdae! with the very same muddy mudpie again! and still..he had the very same expression. SLEEPING AGAIN!
